Averaged 10 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game.

Ranked third in the NBA in TS% (True Shooting) (.626)
2004-2005 Season
Named to the All NBA Rookie second team, Josh (along
with teammate Josh Smith) became the first to receive
that honor since Jason Terry in 1999-2000.
Ranked highly among NBA rookies in virtually every category.
Collegiate Career at Stanford
An early entry candidate for the 2004 NBA Draft, Josh
played three seasons at Stanford for coach Mike Montgomery.
Selected to the USA Basketball Team for the Pan American
Games in 2003.
He was named the 2003-04 Pac-10 Player of the Year,
the first in school history, and was a finalist for
Rupp, Naismith and Wooden Player of the Year Awards.
While on The Farm Josh led the Cardinals to a 74-21
record, the 2003-04 Pac-10 Title, and three NCAA Tournament
appearances during his career and its greatest single
season record in school history (2003-04).
Josh Childress appears 17 times in the Stanford record
book.
Named First Team All-American as a junior (2003-04)
by a number of media outlets, including the AP, Sports
Illustrated and Basketball Times, despite missing the
first nine games of the season with a stress reaction
in his left foot.
Became only the second freshman to start his first game
(former Hawk Brevin Knight was the other) in Montgomery's
18-year tenure at the school.

2001 McDonald's High School All American.
Averaged 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks
per game. Led team to first and only CIF Division II
Southern Section Championship.
Two time CIF Division II Southern Section MVP and Suburban
League MVP.
